Book Report & Poetry Presentation Calendar
2019 – 2020
Your child will be required to complete 4 reports this year. Each report will come home with written directions and will be explained in detail to your child. These reports/presentations should not be stressful for students or parents and will give your child an opportunity to enjoy a large selection of good literature, as well as give your child a chance to express what he/she has read in a variety of ways. Book reports and poems will be presented orally to the class, as we work on the Common Core standard of oral speaking skills. This is your child’s time to be creative. I expect projects to be completed by your child with minimal assistance.
Month Genre Project Due Date
October Mystery Diorama 10/30/19
November Historical Fiction Book Jacket 12/13/19
February Biography Living Museum 3/10/20
March Poetry Presentation 3/27/20
April Fiction Thinking Map Report 4/30/20
May Poetry Presentation 5/29/20
